Orestone Completes I.P. And Soil Surveys On Its Captain Property Prior To Drilling This Fall. Examination Of Laforce Property To Select Set-Ups For Drilling.

August 20, 2008

TSX-V: ORS August 20, 2008 - Orestone announces that it completed 26 line-km of I.P. surveys and collected 429 MMI soil samples, 51 conventional soil samples and 18 rock samples by late July throughout its 100% owned Captain Property in the Quesnel Trough of Central B.C.

These surveys were targeted over a combination of airborne and ground magnetic-high anomalies, I.P. surveys with chargeability highs, regional stream sediment surveys anomalous for Cu and or Au, and soil surveys with patterns of anomalous Cu and Au. Preliminary I.P. results are nearly complete. Soil sample results are expected within a week. Results will be interpreted by management to provide targets for a fall drilling program.

Mr Barney Bowen P.Eng., director and QP of Orestone and Mr Gordon Richards P.Eng., president of Orestone are working on Orestone’s 100% owned LaForce Property situated 20 km east of the Kemess South Cu-Au Mine in northern B.C. Work began August 17 and will be completed by the end of August. They are mapping, sampling and selecting drill sites on the BB Showing for future drilling. Five of eight surface grab samples previously collected within a quartz vein/stockwork zone returned anomalous to strongly anomalous gold values of 6.8, 5.6, 0.5, 0.3, and 0.3 g/T Au.

Bowen and Richards will also be conducting a preliminary examination of its nearby 100% owned Lay Property.
