Final Hole Bottoms in Copper-Gold Mineralization

January 27, 2010

TSX-V: ORS January 27, 2010 - Orestone Mining Corp. is pleased to announce very encouraging gold and copper assays from the last of five widely spaced diamond drill holes on its 100% owned Captain Property immediately south of Terrane Metals Corp’s Mt Milligan Property in central British Columbia. Hole 09-05 intersected a weighted average of 0.16% Cu and 0.34g/t Au over the bottom 3.1m of the 137.2 m vertical hole. All of the nine samples collected higher in the hole were anomalous for copper and gold as reported in the table below. Overburden was 45 metres thick.

Mineralization in the last three samples and locally higher in the hole is a breccia with a matrix of fine-grained pyrite and chalcopyrite within andesitic volcanoclastic rocks. The drill hole was completed on Dec 31, 2009, the last day of the Company’s work permit and the last day for spending its 2008-09 flow-through funds. The hole will be relogged and split in its entirety.

860 metres to the east of Hole 09-05, percussion drill hole PDH 09-02 completed June 26, 2009 intersected a silica-sericite-pyrite altered intrusion that contained anomalous Cu and Au values (up to 168 ppm Cu and 37 ppb Au). Hole 09-05 was positioned on a 800 m wide IP chargeability anomaly that is open to the west, northwest and south. The closest other IP line starts 750 m to the northwest of Hole 09¬05 and contains a similar chargeability anomaly over a 300 m width, indicating that the chargeability anomaly and potential copper-gold mineralization in the area surrounding Hole 09-05 could be extensive. The target area is completely overburden covered.
